Outreach mission held
A two-day outreach mission was conducted recently by the Occidental Negros (Host) Lions Club in Barangay Handumanan, Bacolod City, during its 63rd Charter anniversary, its press release said.
The club, headed by Dr. Eli dela Cruz, vaccinated 410 dogs and held a film showing on the dangers and effects of rabies on humans, and a medical mission next day in the area, in coordination with the Iloilo City (Host) Lions Club and local officials, led by Brgy. Captain Ric Danoy. Benefited were about 2,500 residents who availed of medical consultation, dental services, circumcision, reading glasses and a feeding program for children and adults, the press release said.
The club later held the induction of its officers and new members at 27th Bascon, the press release added.*

to be held in Bacolod
A theater performance, “Suddenly Last Summer,” will be presented September 20 to 22 at the Gallaga Theater of the University of St. La Salle, and on September 26 at the Negros Museum in Bacolod City, a press release from promoters said.
The play is a meditation on the violence we do to each other in families and society - even where there is, and is considered as Tennessee Williams’ autobiography, the press release said.
The cast includes Mate Espina, Shiela Ledesma, Kimee Santiago, Nonilon Torpez, Rafael Tubongbanua, Charlene Mae Tupas, Lysabeth Dilag, Giselle Kho, Ritchell Balisnomo and Eid Villarta. Director is Tanya Lopez, Adrian Torres is production designer, and Paolo Fortaleza is lighting choreographer, the press release also said.
