The New Balance Run series, one of the biggest running events in the country, will be staged in Bacolod City on June 3, a press release from the organizers said.

Participants will compete in the 10K category and 5K event that will start from the Provincial Capitol Lagoon.

Those who will register for the event will receive New Balance technical shirt, race bib, info sheet and refreshments, with all runners getting a one-of-a-kind New Balance finisher’s bag with NB rainbow shoelaces and other freebies, the press release said.

Registered runners will also receive 20 percent discount on all regular-priced New Balance items at any New Balance, Planet Sports and The Athlete’s Foot outlets nationwide. The promo is valid until November 31, 2012.

During the race, the organizers will raffle off New Balance shoes, apparel and other accessories, the press release said.

Interested runners are advised to register at Planet Sports, Robinsons Place; The Athlete’s Foot, Robinsons Place; New Government Center and Run Club Bacolod, until May 27. A registration fee of P400 will be collected for the 10K race and P350 for 5K competition.

Distribution of Race Packs will be on May 30 up to June 1 at Planet Sports, Robinsons Place.*
