Saudi Arabia hospitals
need med professionals

Representatives of the Perfect Employment Agency will be at the Public Employment Service Office in Bacolod City today to look for medical professionals to be deployed in three hospitals in Saudi Arabia, Moises de la Cruz, PESO manager, said yesterday.

The three hospitals are Al Moosa General Hospital in Al Hassa Hofuf, Dr. Soliman Fakeeh Hospital in Jeddah, and Smile Experts Dental Center in Riyadh, de la Cruz said.

The hospitals need nurses, physiotherapists, x-ray technicians, medical laboratory technicians, optometrists, dental technicians, and respiratory therapists, he said.

EB Magalona holds
‘farmers’ school’

E.B. Magalona town, through its Municipal Agriculturist Office and the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist will end the 6-month Farmers’ Field School Program in Barangay San Isidro with 69 farmer-beneficiaries graduating next month, a press release from the town said.

FFSP, that was started in November last year, has 35 farmer-beneficiaries from the barangay proper and 34 others from Sitio Ronel.

Agricultural technologist, Adonis Auquico, said classes are conducted every Wednesday for barangay proper farmers, and every Friday for those in Sitio Ronel.

LGUs receive farm animals

The Provincial Veterinary Office of Negros Occidental has dispersed 349 farm animals this month to local government units, and other recipients under the Negros First dispersal program of Gov. Alfredo Marañon Jr., Catheryn Narez, provincial livestock coordinator, said yesterday.

Narez said the PVO distributed 140 piglets and 200 kabir chicks to farmers, rebel returnees, pastors, hog raisers, and to an orphanage in Bacolod City as livelihood assistance, but she clarified that these are not dole-out projects.

The beneficiaries are from the towns of Hinobaan, Toboso, Hinigaran, and the cities of Escalante and Sipalay, she said.
