The Bacolod City Sampaguita Lions Club, led by Dang Filasol, Soroptimist International of Bacolod City, headed by Melba Tan, and city officials recently opened a photo exhibit on the progress of the City of Smiles at the Robinsons Place Bacolod.
The ribbon-cutting rite was led by Mayor Bing Leonardia, councilors Em Ang, Al Espino, Taling Alisbo and Elmer Sy, and mall manager Joseph Sian.
The exhibit entitled “Progresso sang Bacolod”, that aims to inform Bacoleños and Negrenses on the progress and development of Bacolod, was mounted at the fountain area and arranged beautifully so that visitors and mallgoers can easily see and follow the pictures that depict the city then and now.
The ribbon cutting was followed by a short program of songs and dances participated in by students from various schools. Mayor Bing and Vice Mayor Thaddy Sayson thanked the people of Bacolod, the investors, small and medium entrepreneurs and other sectors of the community for their continued trust and confidence in their city officials.
Public and private organizations were also lauded for their contribution to the development of Bacolod.
After the colorful program, a delicious snack followed.
What a very interesting and educational day it was for all of us.*
Remember: A doctor can save your life. A lawyer can defend your life. A soldier can give you a peaceful life. But only Jesus can give you an everlasting life.*
