TMU chief to file traffic violation
charges against dad of SK chair
Charges for reckless driving under the influence of liquor and driving without license will be filed today at the Bacolod City Prosecutors Office against the father of a Sangguniang Kabataan chairman.
Chief Insp. Luisito Acebuche, head of the Bacolod Traffic Management Unit, said the charges will be filed against Herman Villarosa of Brgy. Estefania, Bacolod.
Contacted by the DAILY STAR, Villarosa’s wife, Romilla, said they could not comment on the matter yet but added they are also seeking their lawyer’s advice so they could also file charges against Acebuche.
On June 30, Brgy. Estefania SK chair Karen Villarosa and her parents reported to the police that Acebuche threatened them with a .45 caliber pistol in front of the Providence Negros Subdivision in Brgy. Granada, Bacolod, following a traffic altercation.
But Acebuche said the affidavits of the two security guards and his neighbors, who witnessed the altercation between him and the Villarosas, were among the evidences he presented to strengthen his case against Herman.
He said they were also able to secure a record from the Land Transportation Office that showed that Herman Villarosa’s driver’s license expired in 2006 and that the vehicle he was driving that Saturday was not his.
Acebuche said there were initial talks of settlement between them but this did not push through.*APN
