Officers from the National Food Authority in Manila will be in Bacolod City tomorrow to validate programs implemented under the United Nations Children's Fund, Cynthia Luz Chua, NFA-Negros senior grains operations officer, said yesterday.
Chua said the delegation is composed of Gloria Rigos and Ma. Alicia Fadera, representatives and evaluators of the NFA central office and regional officers Cashmere Gemarino and Antonio Mendoza.
NFA-Negros received P73,000 from UNICEF to fund feeding programs and the campaign for the consumption of I-Rice or Iron Fortified Rice, she said.


ANP updates Casiño on
local agri project
Bayan Muna Rep. Teddy Casiño has consulted the officers and members of the Association of Negros Producers about his proposed Social Enterprise Bill during his recent visit to Bacolod City.
Former ANP president Marivic Rio, said that during the consultation they updated Casiño on their latest agri program – OUR Food, which stands for Optimizing and Upscaling Roles in the Food Supply Chain.
“Casiño also updated us where they can come in and what support they can give us so we are ready to write him a proposal,” she said.


Coke celebrates Games
with collectible glasses

From 8-31 July 2012, consumers will be able to collect six different colored glasses, embossed with official London 2012 Olympic Games sport pictograms.
These glasses will be available at McDonald’s will come in a series of colors – Pink, Green, Blue, Aqua, Charcoal and Purple.
