heat up at St. La Salle

Perennial championUniversity of St. La Salle-Integrated School leads the cast of 10 teams that are seeing action in the Shakey’s Girls Volleyball League Season 9 Negros Eliminations at the USLS Covered Court.

Setting their eyes on another championship, the La Salle girls are national defending champion after they beat Hope Christian School (Manila) last year in the finals.

To advance to the national championship, the USLS-IS team will have to get past the challenge posed by nine other teams in Negros Occidental.

7-cock derby resumes
at Guanzon Coliseum

The second day of cockfighting in the “Luis Mirasol Memorial Cup” P3.5 million Guaranteed Prize 7-Cock Derby resumes today at the Cong. Romeo G. Guanzon Multi-Purpose Stadium in Barangay Mansilingan, Bacolod City.

The elimination phase will end on Feb.29, while the championship is slated on March 1.

Big time cockers and breeders nationwide are vying for the top prize. Another 7-Cock spectacle hosted by Ricky Castillo LDI/Monju Guanzon will be held on March 24, 25, 26, 28 and 30.
