The grand opening of Allied Banking Corporation, Bacolod Hilado Branch, was held yesterday, and the opening salvo and motorcade was participated in by the Lucio Tan Group of Companies, followed by a thanksgiving mass officiated by Msgr. Noly Que, parish priest of the Queen of Peace church.
Sponsors during the ribbon-cutting were Lucy Ponce and Luis Ong, with branch manager Russel Lau, Visayas Region Head-SAVP Glennmore dela Cruz, Branch Expansion Department Head-SAVP Art Chuaunsu and the head of Retail Banking Group-FSVP Rafael Sison, Jr.
We were entertained by the Amity Dragon dancers, said to bring good luck.
Last Saturday, February 18, Lady Luck was with us. First, I had lunch with Manay and Mention Manaloto, then at 4 p.m. I joined Perla and Ninfa Leonardia at the Eloisa Q Resto where I met my sister-friends Cecile Garcia, Dimple and her husband David Tan, with good-looking younger son, Justin, who was very busy taking pictures of his long missed relatives, the Ramos and Leonardia clan.
Also balikbayans were their brother Rally and Sonia with their kids and their excited mother, Lily Villasor Montelibano, who, his wife after staying so long in the land of Milk and Honey, decided to visit Bacolod.
Later, we proceeded to L'Fisher to attend the cocktails hosted by PAL for its Elite cardholders, and Allied Bank, promoting their World Mastercard.
At 6:30 in the evening, we proceeded to L'Fisher Chalet to watch the 3rd Jazz concert where we met movie stars Mateo Guidicelli and Hayden Kho, the love of Dr. Vicki Belo, through SRA Big Boss, Gina Bautista Martin.
Oh what a day - tiring but a very happy one of escapades.
Remember: Walk in love, be kind, be wise and see the world with caring eyes. Have a hopeful point of view since life is a gift and so are you.*
