Sixty-nine applicants were hired in the two-day employers’ interview for McDonald’s-Kuwait through Blazing Star International Manpower Services at the Bacolod City Government Center, Moises de la Cruz, manager of the Public Employment Service Office, said yesterday.
De la Cruz, an executive assistant to Mayor Evelio Leonardia, said the applicants will leave the country three weeks from now after completing their requirements. Their job orientation was done yesterday before they signed the contract with the agency, he added.
He said Blazing Star is one of the recruitment agencies that have partnered with PESO-Bacolod and had provided more jobs for Bacoleños last year.
De la Cruz also reminded other recruitment agencies that have conducted jobs fair with PESO-Bacolod to submit their deployment report so that they will know how many applicants were qualified and deployed, by them.
He said this is their only way of evaluating recruitment agencies that have provided jobs for Bacolod residents.
Meanwhile, representatives of Pisces International Manpower Services will conduct their initial interviews on Feb. 8 to 10 at PESO-Bacolod.
The agency is representing 36 companies from Qatar, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, and Dubai, that are all looking for skilled workers, engineers, and medical professionals.
Applicants must prepare two sets of resume, employment certificates, passport, 2x2 pictures with white background, and other documents supporting their application.
Slippers and shorts are not allowed during interviews. *LTG
