Mayor Francisco Nazareno yesterday said he can still run for mayor of Moises Padilla for a last term.
Nazareno said that if businessman Bonifacio Pena runs for mayor of Moises Padilla, that is his option, it is a free country.
He said the show of force with the presence of numerous officials who were with Peña when he went to the Commission on Elections in Moises Padilla to file his application for voters registration in the town, does not scare him, but he fears God.
Gov. Joseph Marañon yesterday refused to discuss the developments in Moises Padilla saying that the May 2013 elections are a long way off yet, when asked if Nazareno would remain the United Negros Alliance candidate of the town.
Marañon turned over a P1 million check as assistance from the provincial government to Moises Padilla for its sheep farm.
Nazareno said the town is buying a 10-hectare farm for the grazing of its sheep in Barangay Quintin Remo and another 2.8 hectares in Barangay Odiong for a fertilizer demonstration farm.*CPG
