Two Lin-ay winners named

Allysa Marie Villarico of Bacolod and Catherine Joy Marin of Bago City,  Lin-ay sang Negros 2012 candidates, were named “Lin-ay sg Media” and “Lin-ay nga Ma-abilidad” winners, respectively, at the press and talent competition at the Robinson’s Place mall yesterday.

Villarico, 20, is a Mass Communicartion student of the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos and one of the hosts of ABS-CBN Bacolod’s Kapamilya Winner Ka game show.

The reigning MassKara Queen 2011 2nd runner-up, Villarico received a sash, bouquet and P3,000 worth of MaryKay products.

After the press presentation, the 24 “Lin-ay sg Negros” candidates joined in a skills competition on floral arrangement.

Marin received P5,000 in cash and a bouquet for her winning floral arrangement.  Her presentation was judged on technical merit and artistic impression by the judges composed of artist and entrepreneur Marianito Vito, Paraw Regata Festival chairman Tess Solis and floral designer Mary Jane Donesa

The Lin-ay sg Negros candidates will compete for the Festival costumes at the Robinson’s Place Bacolod at 5 p.m.  today. The coronation night, that will be the highlight of the weeklong Panaad sa Negros Festival, will be held at the Panaad Stadium in Brgy. Mansilingan, Bacolod City, on April 13.

This year’s contestants are Lee Grace Jardinico of Binalbagan, Jennybeb Bedejo of Cadiz City, Shara Vilaflor of Cuayan, Rose Ann Mae Diaz of E.B. Magallona, Cristy Mae Mendoza of Escalante City, Precious Grace Heradura of Himamaylan, Cherry Anne Magarse of Hinigaran, Kristy Claire Ebreo of Hinoba-an, Jan Camille Albito of Ilog, Christ’l Garrido of Isabela and Vanessa Marie Oyos of Kabankalan City.

Twinkie Fernandez of La Carlota, Karla Ape of La Castellana, Patricia Anne Reconquista of Manapla, Chinky Cantere of Murcia, Marjoelyn Rebadomia of Sagay, Rita Dayanara Alla of Salvador Benedicto, Damaris Vi Landao of San Carlos, Cel Marie Lachica of Silay, keulani Marie Dizon of Sipalay, Sherizze Sean Acot of Talisay and Jemaimah Taladico of Victorias.*APN
