The Geodetic Engineer Licensure Examination given September 6 and 7 this year in Manila has produced two topnotchers and a 100 percent passing percentage for the Negros Oriental State University in Dumaguete City.
NORSU president Dr. Henry Sojor said the national passing percentage is 34.38 percent, or 131 out of 381 examinees who passed, based on the report from the Professional Regulation Commission.
Michael Saga, chairman of the geodetic engineering department of NORSU, said there were five examinees from NORSU – and two of them, Maria Hyacinth Flores Dasig of Dumaguete City and Elizar Brobo Ragay of Bacong in Negros Oriental, were among the topnotchers.
Dasig placed seventh with a rating of 84.80 percent; while Ragay placed 10th with 83.20 percent.
The three other successful examinees are Rowell Bantoto Lamat, Charise Cadayona Merto and Rhea Piñero Suasin.
Sojor said NORSU landed second among the top three performing universities in geodetic licensure examinations, based on the passing percentage results.*RG
