3 escapees recaptured
BY GILBERT BAYORAN

The three escapees from the Cadiz City police station jail enjoyed only 24 hours of freedom, before they were recaptured by pursuing policemen yesterday in Sagay City, Negros Occidental.

Insp. Gil John Despi, Cadiz police officer-in-charge, yesterday said the fleeing inmates, identified as Lemuel Monsay, 24, Roger Obera, 29, and Joebel Mosico, 19, were re-arrested at about 2 a.m. yesterday in Brgy. Malubon, Sagay City.

The three inmates bolted from the Cadiz police jail at about 3 a.m. Sunday, after a head count by the jail officer, who also served as the on-duty desk officer.

Initial police investigations show that the escapees sawed off the iron grills of their lock-up cell to escape.

However, follow-up operations by the Cadiz police yesterday led to their recapture at the house of Obera in Sitio Dogma, Brgy. Malubon, Sagay City.*GPB
