DTI slates
‘Diskwento Caravan’

The Department of Trade and Industry in Negros Occidental is preparing its Diskwento Caravan to help consumers buy school supplies and basic commodities at a reduced price, Maximo Ravena, DTI consumer and welfare division chief, said yesterday.

The public can expect products sold at much lower prices than those sold in public markets and supermarkets, Ravena said.

He said participating manufacturers will be able to fulfill their corporate social responsibility in easing the burden of high rising prices, since the customers’ purchasing power is limited due to the fluctuation of prices in the world market.
