Homesite kids join soccer camp

Children from ages 12 years old and under joined a three-day soccer camp initiated by the Laforteza family at the Homesite Gym in Bacolod City.

Joining the camp were 21 boys and 11 girls from Montevista Elementary School and Jack & Jill – Homesite, who were taught the fundamentals of soccer by Edgar Laforteza, a police officer in Chicago who is originally from Homesite, and his team of family members and volunteers.

Assisting Edgar were Conrad, Mayalin, and Miko Laforteza, all young athletes based in Chicago.

4-Man bowlfest opens January 5

The four-day 4-Man Team Open Bowling Tournament hosted by Kami Mga Hubin Bowling Club will start on January 5, 2012 at the Super Lanes of the Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City.

KMHBC president Sonny Elegado said the event offers gift certificates and trophies to the winners in the team and individual contest.

The competition will be contested in open rated bracket and in non-rated division.
