MANILA - Shell, Petron, Eastern Petroleum, Seaoil and Total Philippines cut diesel and kerosene prices by P0.30 and P0.50 per liter, respectively effective yesterday
Shell said on Monday in its media advisory that the lower pump prices "reflect the decline in international product prices."
Before the adjustment, diesel sold at P42.84 to P46.43 per liter and gasoline at P47.79 to P55.70 per liter.
P17M spent for
social pension in WV
The Department of Social Welfare and Development in Region VI has spent P17,028,000 for social pension serving 2,838 senior citizens in Negros Occidental this year.
The list covers all 31 cities and municipalities, including Bacolod City, DSWD-VI records showed.
The DSWD said the social pension aims to improve the living condition of eligible indigent senior citizens, augment their capacity to meet their daily subsistence and medical needs, reduce incidence of hunger, and protect them from neglect, abuse, and deprivation.
34,561 farm animals given out
The Provincial Veterinary Office of Negros Occidental has dispersed 34,561 farm animals to 3,991beneficiaries from January to December this year, Catheryn Narez, livestock coordinator said yesterday.
The beneficiaries include pastors, people’s organizations, farmers, and rebel returnees, Narez said.
The PVO distributed 1,022 piglets, 381 ready to breed gilts, six boars from the Pig Improvement Company, 208 upgraded does, three boar bucks, and 32,941 poultry animals like kabir chicks, grimaud, and dominant CZ, she said.
