1st win in Fil-Sino cagefest

Huminova Tigers barged into the win column dominating AACI Farms, 98-75, and AACI Trading defeated JSY Transport, 105-92, in the Fil-Sino All Asian Countertrade Inc. 2nd Conference Inter-Color Basketball Tournament at the Bacolod Tay Tung High School Po Hang Gym.

RB Chua and Ricky Chua conspired for 24 points to lead the Tigers to a 30-20 first quarter lead.  John Montemayor and Pao Pao Lim had 10 and 6 points, respectively, for a 30-20 lead.

The Tigers continued with their offensive ways as they outscored Farms in the next two quarters to extend the lead to 78-51 going into the fourth quarter. Jomie Montinola, Johnnyson Yu and Biboy Yap shot 8 points each against Badong Eufre’s 9 points and Bol Manaloto and Marc Lo’s 6 points.

LJP Trading takes lead
in Five-Man bowling tilt

LJP Trading/JFM NPBC won the 2nd NSL Five-Man Team Bowling Tournament at the Super Lanes of the Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City.

In claiming the championship, the NPBC/RJ Stars squad headed by Gil Villagante sparked a game-high 1,611 pinfalls for a seven-round output of 10,645, sending former leader Eco-saver led by Reymund Lopez to second with 10,621.

The members of the leading team are Villagante, Jam Morales, Steve Po, Edgar Jerez, Hernand Garciniego, Karl Barbosa, Cano Gaudite, Ed Panes and Buddy Ferrer.

Team 7 stays on top
in BTTHS basketball

Guest Team 2's winning streak was broken by Team 3-Chowking, 75-70, while Team 7-MS stopped Team 10, 96-92, in a pair of thriller in the  Bacolod Tay Tung High School Alumni Basketball League at the Po Hang gym.

Team 6 demolished Team 4, 90-63, as Team 1 humbled Team 8, 81-71, and Team 5 tamed Team 9, 78-71. Team 7 remained on top with six wins and one loss and Team 6 stayed close with a 6-2 record.  Teams 1, 3 and 5 are locked at 5-2 for third and will separate ways after this weekend.

James Kho played intensely with 26 points before fouling out, Matthew Yap added 14 and Christopher Tan chipped in 12 points to hold off the younger and faster Blue Dragons who played as guest team in lieu of Team 2.
