City starts
demolition in Granada

BY CHRYSEE SAMILLANO

The Bacolod City Government has started the demolition of illegal structures of about 90 families in Brgy. Granada, Bacolod City Tuesday, Becky Tipon, acting head of the Housing and Relocation Division of the Bacolod Housing Authority, said yesterday.

Tipon said that out of the 90 families, 26 have not yet been issued court orders. She said those who were issued court orders were asked to apply with the BHA and they have already interviewed 22 applicants.

Those whose application for a relocation site has been approved will be allocated lots at the city’s relocation site in the Vista Alegre-Granada relocation site and the Arao relocation site, Tipon said.

In order to qualify, they have to be residents of Bacolod City for at least five consecutive years, she said.*CGS
