schedules brownout

A major portion of Silay City must brace for a long brownout Friday.

Central Negros Electric Cooperative Inc. will conduct middle span erection of two 45ft concrete poles for the new Silay sub-station at McKinley Road, Silay City, and tree trimming between 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. covering a portion of the Silay Feeder 2, tomorrow, a CENECO press release said.

The activities will result to a power interruption the press release said.

Affected member-consumers are advised to turn-off their electrical switches during the power interruption for safety reasons.

When electricity supply resumes, they must provide allowance of about 10-15 minutes before switching on all electrical appliances and facilities to avoid power surge.
