AACI Farms vs. Organic
in Fil-Sino Class B finals

It will be AACI Farms clashing against Organic Solutions for the title in Class B after both squads beat their respective opponents in the semifinals of the Fil-Sino All Asian Countertrade Inter-Color Basketball Tournament at the Bacolod Tay Tung High School Po Hang Gym.

Championship game will be 7 p.m. tonight with Farms enjoying a twice-to-beat advantage by virtue of sweeping the elimination and semifinals.

Top seeded AACI Farms formalized its entry into the championship round by holding off Basecom, 69-65, while Organic Solutions got past a horrendous first quarter to beat AACI Transport, 87-82, to arrange a titular showdown in their division.

Baby Stingers win
12-U basketball title

University of St. La Salle Baby Stingers stamped their class over the Titans of Eliakim Learning School, 63-55, to capture the 12 & Under basketball title of Pueblo Rosario Summer Basketball Tournament at the Eroreco Subdivision court in Brgy. Mandalagan, Bacolod City.

Trading shots in the first three quarters, both squads were on equal footing until the Baby Stingers' swarming defense and better teamwork allowed them to pull away in the final stretch.

Coach Sammy Belangel’s Titans tried to catch up but tournament Most Valuable Player Jojo Antiporda, carried the USLS team all the way as he scored a total of 20 points, while teammate Kaiser Tuhao added 14 and Ian Caram contributed 10 points.

Silverado takes lead
in Sanyo bowling tilt

Silverado ASSFBI came up with a strong performance and a total of 1,016 pinfalls to keep the lead in the men’s division, while Davies Fusion headed the women’s section of the ongoing 2nd Sanyo Friendship Cup Bowling Tournament.

Silverado, composed of Ramon Cecil Silverio, Ronald Fernandez, Norman Pineda and Nonoy Gatila, is now on top with 3,067 points.

Romel Jover and Edgar Jerez’ Davies II is 10 pins behind with 3,057 followed by ESD Electronz headed by Pat Mendoza and Edgar “Bok” Del Rosario with 3,023.
