Brutally slain man
found in creek

BY ADRIAN NEMES III

The body of an unidentified man, believed to have been summary executed, was fished out of a creek in Brgy. Vista Alegre, Bacolod City, with multiple wounds yesterday morning.

Case investigator, Police Officer 3 Karyl Mugemulta, said a passerby identified as Ryan Lopez, 29, of Purok Santa Maria in Vista Alegre, was crossing the creek on his way to Buena Park Subdivision, when he discovered the body floating in a creek at the Villa Homes Subdivision at about 8:30 a.m.

He said the victim’s hands and feet were tied with shoelaces and bore multiple circular wounds on his chest.

The victim, who, Mugemulta said, is between 17 and 20 years old, about 5 feet to 5 feet and 5 inches in height, with fair complexion, of medium build and blond hair was wearing only denim pants with green square designs on it.

There is a possibility that the victim was killed somewhere else and that his body was just dumped in the creek, as nearby residents did not hear any commotion and no visible signs of struggle have been in the area, Mugemulta said.

The body will be autopsied to ascertain whether the wounds he had sustained were from an icepick or from a shot gun. The body is now at the Alisbo Memorial Chapels at Lacson Street, Bacolod.

Last week, the body of a man with multiple stab wounds, was also fished out from a creek in Hacienda Bonifacio in Brgy. Felisa, Bacolod City by a resident.*APN
