Hunt still on for killer
of 2 Negrenses

BY CARLA GOMEZ

The suspect in the massacre of five, including two Negrenses and an American war veteran, in their house at Angeles City, Pampanga, Thursday, is still at-large, Marilyn Adraneda said last night.

Adraneda is the sister of Janet Adraneda Mitchell, 53, whose body and that of her husband Albert Mitchell, 70, househelpers Marissa Prado and Isabel Fajardo, 30, and driver Yulberto Vergara, 50, were found with gunshot wounds in various parts of the house.

Janet Mitchell and Fajardo are from Cadiz City in Negros Occidental.

The remains of Fajardo will be brought home to Cadiz City after certain procedures are completed, Adraneda said.

Meanwhile, she said, her sister and her husband may be cremated, or buried at the Clark cemetery, depending on the wishes of their daughter.

Senior Superintendent Danilo Bautista, acting chief of the Angeles City Police Office, said earlier that the suspect in the killing of the five, identified as Mark Dizon, who is now the subject of a police manhunt, may also be involved in two more gruesome killings in the city.

Dizon has been identified by a witness as the man who seen running out of the Mitchell’s residence at Manuela Street, Hensonville Court, Barangay Malabanias on Thursday afternoon, before the killing was discovered, Bautista said.

Dizon, a computer and electronics technician, allegedly became mentally disturbed after his girlfriend left him and went to the United States with another man, Bautista said.

Dizon also has a standing warrant of arrest for a carnapping case pending before the Angeles City Regional Trial Court.

Bautista said Dizon is suspected to also be gunman in the murder of Australian Geoffrey Allan Bennun, 60, and his girlfriend Abegail Helina who were found dead inside one of the villas at the Oasis Hotel in Barangay Balibago July 9, and of British national James Bolton Porter and his live-in partner, Melissa Madarang, in Sta. Maria Subdivision, Barangay Balibago on July 20.*CPG
