PARO Mariano ends
stint at DAR Siquijor

The provincial office head of the Agrarian Reform Office Siquijor, Maria Lourdes Mariano, will assume her new post as technical assistant in the DAR Regional Office in Cebu City in February, a Philippine Information Agency press release said.

Her transfer was signed on January 8, 2010 by DAR Secretary Nasser Pangandaman who ordered that field officials nationwide be given new assignments.

Mariano was DARPO Siquijor chief from February 2008.  Under her, the office was first in Region 7 or Central Visayas to deliver more than 100 percent accomplishment in land acquisition and distribution, and in all other agrarian reform components, at the end of 2009, the press release said.

Mariano will be replaced by Maximino Tenorio Jr., now DARPO Siquijor Chief of Operations Division. Grace Fua, previous PARO of Siquijor, and presently the PARO of Negros Oriental, will be assigned to DARPO Cebu, the press release added.*
