ALI gives P3M to TWD

Real estate developer Ayala Land Inc. recently turned over a check for P3 million to the Talisay Water District, for expenses that TWD may incur for repairs, rehabilitation and other maintenance costs of the water system within ALI’s developments, a press release from the firm said.

ALI has signed a Memorandum of Agreement with TWD in 2009 in the company’s bid to enhance the quality and supply of water within its development.

Under the agreement, TWD will provide water to the 3 residential subdivisions: Ayala North Point, Plantazionne Verdana Homes and the recently launched project- Verdana Homes Asyana.

The entry of TWD ensures continuous water supply to the 87 homes in Ayala North Point and 47 homes in Plantazionne Verdana Homes, as well as future developments in the area.

Ayala’s property management assures residents of their convenience by providing the brand of service that it is known for.

In addition, ALI contributes to water conservation and environment protection through the construction of its wetland project, the press release said.

ALI’s wetland system was built to utilize natural treatment of waste water and reduce pollution, it added.

This wetland project in Negros is one of only three operational constructed wetlands in the Philippines.

It operates on a 25 meters by 50 meters land with a capacity of processing 500 cubic meters of waste water per day.

The quality of the treated wastewater is monitored and discharged to the river. Alternatively, it may be used to water plants around the property, the press release said.
