Among the Rotary dignitaries who will attend the conference is Rotary International Director-Elect Jackson Hseih from Taiwan, who will come as representative of R.I. President Wilfrid Wilkinson, and District Governor Renier ‘Prince’ Gerochi, of  Bacolod City and the Rotary Club of Bacolod South.

Lawyer Josephine Natalaray, president of the Rotary District 3850 Council of Presidents, and of the Rotary Club of Bacolod Central, said the DisCon is the most important meeting of the Rotary Year with top speakers from various Rotary clubs in the country coming to share information and inspiration.

As the link between the conference and the R.I. leadership, Director-Elect Hseih will present a status report on Rotary and a summation at the end of the gathering, Natalaray added.

Also attending are Group Study Exchange team members from Japan, Rotarians’ spouses and children, Youth Exchange students, Interactors and Rotaractors associated with 54  Rotary Clubs in the district.

In the spirit of the R.I. Year’s theme, ‘Rotary Shares’, delegates will participate in   four plenary sessions representing four areas of organization concerns: sharing in the district and around the world, through effective clubs, the Rotary Foundation and successful service project –particularly on water resources, literacy, health and hunger and grants.

The gathering will be highlighted by the talents’ night, the district business  meeting and the Governor’s Ball where the District Awards will be presented.
