Summer vacation is just a couple of weeks away and this early, college students, apparently looking forward to days off the pressures of school life, are starting to have their ‘summer vacation dreams’ although many of them know they’ll end up doing something else. Some of them shared with StarLife what their dream vacation is and their actual plans for the weeks ahead.
Kristina Angela ‘KIA’ Gendrala, 16
“My ultimate summer vacation dream is to spend endless days in the city of lights, Paris, with my ultimate crush, Orlando Bloom.”
This summer I would want to go to different places and beaches in the country. As detour, I’ll tag along historical places and swim in the serene waters of our white sand beaches with my barkada, of course.
Cherish Yen ‘YEN2’Oligo, 18
“I’ve always dreamt of spending a Disneyland summer outing with my family. But of course, the Disney journey would never be fun without my best friend whom I haven’t had quality time with for a year now.”
After summer classes, I plan to unwind and relax. This has been a busy year; I was preoccupied with this, these, and that. Summer time would not end without me having my break.
Rodolfo ‘ROD’ Hibionada Jr., 17
“It is my long time dream to spend summer in the Bora-Bora Island with my girlfriend, Kristah Dumancas, and indulge in what it seems like never ending chit-chat and you know what more.”
My plans are:
· Hang-out with my cousins and make fun anywhere
· Sleep, sleep, and work-out and sleep again
· Skate boarding practice and play my guitar more often
Jansen ‘KULOT’ Tabujara, 18
“Spending time with my girl, Janine, in Punta Bulata is one heck of a summer vacation dream. It all boils down to a perfect summer equation: stars plus sand plus sea plus Jan and me.
This summer break, I plan to hangout with my cousins in Bago City. Also, I wish to go to the beach and do skim boarding with my treasured friends.
Analiza ‘AN’ Perez, 17
“My ultimate dream summer vacation is to be in Baguio with my long time crush and soon to be husband, Leonardo de Caprio. It thrills me to think how tight he’ll hug me since its cold there.”
Summer 2008 spells bonding time with old high school friends, spend time taking care of my Lola in her house, and, like anyone else, conquering the beach with my dear family. Whew, its pretty much work!
Rex Orville ‘REX’ Entierro, 17
“My biggest vacation fantasy is to spend a month at Amanpulo with the CHIPMUNKS (it’s not what you think it is, there my closest pals, not the talking nut crackers) “
This summer I am looking forward to relax and kill all the stress that lingers my head. So, I’ll go beach swimming and resort hopping. But more than enjoying, I plan of doing volunteer works and do charity programs or probably be enrolled in acting or singing workshop.
Justine Marie ‘Darling’ Castañeda, 16
“My dream vacation would be a Disneyland weekend with Orlando. Oh well, I’ll surely bloom, I bet.”
My summer vacation plan is to be with my family. I also want to bond and be with my friends. Also, I’d like to learn how to swim. But above all, I’d worship God hotter than the summer heat.
Ric James ‘RJ’ Mortel, 17
“For my ultimate summer get away, I wish it would be in Europe with David Beckham. No side comments, please.”
The first thing I plan to do this summer is to spend a 15-day rest and recreation period in Bohol. I would surely have a heavy load back, since I also plan to buy pasalubongs for my classmates and friends. Moreover, I want to have that Boracay experience: night outs, cheers, drinks, and a lot more of it!
Kristine ‘TIN-TIN’ Jandi, 17
“How I wish to spend an all-out summer experience in Hawaii, with the person I’m dying to see for so long, Mark.”
This summer break, I’ll spend quality time with my family, enroll in a swimming class and enjoy summer trips with a closest friend. But don’t you think staying and sleeping at home is a cool thing, too?
April Love ‘LUV’ Emnace, 19
“Hong Kong is the place to be. With who else but he, Arphil, my nephew.”
My primary plan is to bond with my family. Going to different places with them would mean excitement and fulfillment combined. Another plan of mine is to visit San Carlos church and attend their annual celebration of Christ’s year.
Wilfred Steven ‘WILFZ’ Gayatao, 17
“How I wish I could pose with my favorite cartoon characters, do the bungee ride and find the treasure chest in Disneyland with my friend, Kristel.”
This break, I plan to enjoy the summer heat with my family anywhere. I also want to be with my friends and classmates, and cherish every moment were together. Also, I want to explore cultures of other countries this summer.
Robin John ‘TADS’ Tad-y, 17
“The summer dream: scuba diving with my mom, Jocelyn, who currently works abroad.”
My plans this summer would include an ocean-surfing adventure, banana boat ride, and a taste of how to maneuver a speedboat, and go skiing, too.
John Eric ‘JOHN-JOHN’, 17
“My summer vacation fantasy would include a trip to Paris in France with a special person dearest to me, Cherrie.”
This vacation ‘08, nothing extravagant would beat a simple outdoor lunch with my family in a beautiful place. It would
be very simple, yet, special.
Jomi ‘FATHER’ Joguilon, 17
“Hong Kong Disneyland completes the summer escapade I’m dreaming of. Oh, how could I forget? I’ll fly there with Helen Grace, a Mickey Mouse fan and cheese lover, who happens to be my girlfriend.”
I plan to spend time with my family, friends, and loved ones because we only have a short summer break. Nursing students just can’t get away with summer classes.
Mark ‘MARCO’ Yee, 17
“I’ve always wanted to spend a dream vacation with my girlfriend, Ria, in Baguio City. There, we will be spending time over a hot cup of coffee, in a breezy farm, enjoying strawberry jam.”
My summer plans are simple. I’ll simply spend time with my girl, go out and have fun with her.
Glesa ‘TIN-TIN’ Topacio, 17
“I dream of spending a summer Singapore trip with my best friend Earlnerica whom I haven’t spent summer with for almost three years now. “
I’ll take up summer classes and conduct a livelihood program for my fellow youth at the barangay and if possible, I would want to enroll in a teakwondo class. Ehh-Yah!
