Peace is a never-ending
quest. Will we have finally peace in 2008? With the coming of the new year, people
keep a view of things, people and places.
We need peace. Without peace,
we will not improve. Our community will not grow. There will be chaos in society
and in our hearts. Worse, there may be war.
We have resolved that all our
bad deeds, thoughts and attitudes should not be revived in 2008. The pictures
we've seen on television show there's little of peace in our midst. People suffer
and many have shown bad behavior, like killing others, stealing what is not their
own and fighting one another.
If there is peace, there will be unity. We
will be friends with each other and there will be no more wars and conflicts.
We need to show acts of kindness so that others will feel there is, indeed, peace
in our hearts.
We are praying that 2008 will be a year of peace. We need
to be on the good side for peace to reign. It's time to put into action the saying,
“Peace on Earth”.

New Year's Wishes
This 2008, I'' try to improve my character. There
were times I've been rude. I'll try to change the way I talk to my parents, teachers
and elders. I'll try to improve the way I write and read and I'll be more studious
and focused on my studies. This year, I hope to be more neat by arranging things
in my room week. I will strive to be good to my classmates and other people around
me.

My New Year's wish is to change my attitude for the better. At times I
was mean. This year I will be good, with the proper attitude, respectful and prayerful.
I want to improve my grades, too, and concentrate on my studies. I want to be
a good daughter and student. I hope my attitude will also improve for the better.
I want to put laziness off in anything I do and, yes, it's time for me to act
like a responsible teenager.

This year, I want to change my character
as I have been bad to other people and my classmates. I also want to excel in
my studies, unlike in 2007. I hope I can be a better girl and daughter at home.
I want to be a more responsible pupil.

I want to spend more time with my family
instead of spending it playing computer games. Family relationship is a basic
need for a person and I have now realized that my desire for computer games has
been habit-forming and must be put away as they have caused sleep disturbance,
headaches and other signs of health problems. I spend more time in bed to
recover the hours I spent playing late computer games. My study habits are affected
and for a time I found school boring. Computer games are easy to do I just have
to sit, relax, get some food and play. But now I realize this habit has to be
changed, I now want the best for me and my family, that's why I will spend more
time with people I love. I don't want last-minute regrets in life not being able
to spend time with them.

I want to be more patient in everything I do this
year. I will strive to have more self-confidence so I can overcome my shyness.
I will also try to be more helpful at home and not to yell at others when
I'm angry.
