Games and children
are inseparable. They are part of one’s growing up. StarLife checked Grade
Six pupils of Andres Bonifacio Elementary School II and here’s what
they said when asked about their favorites games.

“To finish my studies and become a doctor one day.”
I
like playing computer games. Through this, I can expand my thoughts and know more.
Also, through computer gaming I can meet new friends, like in Friendster. But
for me, the best game I played was when I was 7 years old. It’s ‘hide
and seek’. Swimming is my kind of game, too.

“To be an engineer.
I always play basketball because it makes
me feel more active, alive, and strong. It makes my body healthy, too. Our
P.E. teacher told us that this game originated in America and it used only a basket
then with a ball to shoot into it.
Mark Raymund Garcia, 12
“To
be a successful doctor.”
My favorite game is ‘hide and seek.’
This is my favorite because it is so exciting to play. This is played in hiding
in one place, and the seeker begins to count, and one runs after the seeker’s
place. Another is volleyball, because it is a good exercise to our body. Volleyball
is so fun when you have many playmates. Through this sport, you can have many
friends.
Eduardson V. Villaruz, 12
“I want to
be a nurse and live abroad.”
Slipper game is my favorite past-time
activity. It is so easy to play. All you need are spare slippers, place it in
four opposing directions, and play against teams. Also, I like playing ‘hide
and seek’ because I like to hide at night.
Girlie A.
Carreon, 12
“To be a successful company employee.”
I and
my friends always play slipper game. Just place five slippers, side by side, at
the front, back, and center. Just make sure you have another one to kick. When
you kick the slipper, run to the right direction and you should run as fast as
you can. When the one holding the slipper hits you, sorry, but you’re out.
When you’re not hit, you gain life points.

“Always ready to be a Teacher!”
Like most of
my friends, ‘hide and seek’ is the most challenging game I have ever
played. If you are the ghost you will seek those hiding. And if not, find the
best spot for you to hide and be careful not to be noticed. Everyday you can play
this game. But remember to take care of your self since this is a dangerous activity
at night. This is the reason why I like to play this game with my friends, brothers,
and sisters.
Trisha Ann M. Dipa, 12
“To be a
doctor and cure the sick.”
I really enjoy computer games. I spend
most of my time during weekends in playing these entertaining and fun filled games.
I also enjoy playing badminton with my sister. Sometimes, if I am with my friends
we hang out together and ride our bikes. Also, I love playing chess with my cousins
at home.
Philline B. Macaya, 12
“To finish my
studies and be successful in life.”
I play many games but Dressing
up dolls remains the best. This is the best game for girls like me. My friends
and I always dress up our dolls. We enjoy it so much because we love fashion,
dresses, accessories, hair colors and styles. Every Saturday, we organize a fashion
show, and have our best dressed dolls, too. Dressing up game thrills me to become
a fashion icon and designer in the future.

“To be a woman of success.”
Badminton is a game to
die for. I find it adventurous and very exciting. I’m playing computer games,
too. Trough this, I can discover many information and interesting facts. Sometimes,
I spend my time playing Cell phone games and watching fairy tale movies.

“To finish my studies and become a successful
woman someday”
I usually play badminton with my friends. It is so
exciting that I got hooked to it. I also love playing games on my cell phone,
it’s hip and portable. But most of all, computer games makes me want to
sit and chat all the time. This helps you get so many information and trivia about
our world and its people.
Aljohn C. Balaoro, 12
“To
be a successful engineer.”
Like any other boys, Basketball is my sport.
It makes me faster, higher, and stronger. It’s also a good heart-exercise.
This game became an official sports in the Olympics in 1929 in Athens, Greece.
This originated from the Americans.
