LAVIDA NEGRENSE

Music icons “Earth, Wind and Fire” recently held concert at the La Salle Coliseum in Bacolod City. It was an enjoyable night as the group sang their world-famous compositions. Their Negrense fans joined in the groove as they danced and sang the night away. Later, the group proceeded to d’ Rasa Restaurant where a sumptuous dinner was specially prepared for them. It was a night of laughter, good talk and wine. The dinner could have been a second celebration for Ging Lewis as she recently held a memorable birthday bash a few days before, surrounded by her family and close friends.

L’Fisher Hotel was recently buzzling with national prime movers and political pillars. At the grand ballroom was the launching of Sen. Manuel Villar’s newest subdivision.  Even Ripples restaurant was filled with VIPS. On one corner was a private dinner with Makati Mayor Jejomar Binay and former Sen. Ernesto Maceda with Dr. Marichi Ramos and Sagay Mayor Freddie Marañon. At another corner were the Sunshine boys, headed by transportation magnate Ricardo Yanson, all waiting for their dinner’s guest of honor, Senator Villar. Tita Buddai Piccio and I were having our own quiet dinner with the Ciocon Family – Tita Delia, JB and Marides Ciocon-Mapa and Maridel Ciocon. Later that night, joining us on the table were Mayor Bing Leonardia, former Congressman John Orola and Senator Villar.

Emilio and Lolita Solco and their son Dexter were all smiles in welcoming guests composed of national and local suppliers to their pre-leasing cocktails at Triangle Island Plaza. Guests look smart as they wore brand-new white colored hard hats upon entry in the 10-hectare mall. Company president Dexter Solco toured guests in some areas.  The Garden Club February Group recently celebrated the birthdays of their members Frank Aquino, Viol Caram, and Nanette Jereza in a fun afternoon of bonding and laughter.*
