10 women complete
organic farming gab

Ten members of the Women’s Association of Barangay Sab-ahan in Bais City, Negros Oriental completed their training on the natural and organic farming system project, Saturday, at the Negros Island Sustainable Agricultural Rural Development Demo farm  in San  Antonio,  Sibulan town.

Officer-in-charge Merlissa Garcia of the Organic Promotions  and  Trainings  of  NISARD Foundation  said, the  participants  trained  on  the  different   farm inputs   to  broaden  their  understanding  of the  various approaches  to organic farming.

They also trained on vermin composting, ground soil enhancer, the economics of  integrated  natural  and  organic  farming, and the economic, environmental  and  health benefits  related  to  the  actual practice  of  organic  farming.*MA
