Bike falls from
bridge, 2 injured

BY KATHERINE G. MACAROY

Two persons were injured in a road accident when their motorcycle fell from a bridge in Bacolod City yesterday.

The Traffic Management Unit said Nina Gayo, 40, of Rizal Street, Bacolod, and Edmundo Josana, 36, were injured when the motorcycle they were riding fell from the Abad Bridge at Lacson Extension, in the city, at about 4 a.m. yesterday, TMU investigator PO2 Docelio Pachoro, said.

The Chamber Volunteer rescue group said it brought Gayo, who sustained a laceration on her forehead and injuries on her thigh, and Josana, who had lacerations behind his ear and neck, to the Bacolod Adventist Medical Center in Brgy. Taculing, Bacolod.

Pachoro said Gayo was transferred later to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital because doctors at the BAMC said that the bone on her thigh had to be operated on.

Medics from the 117 Emergency services and the Amity volunteer rescue team also responded to the incident.*KGM
