Beach Bash (part 2)

sweet

I was in full gear for the beach bash. With enough clothes for five changes a day, I was able to fill up two pieces of Prada luggage, a Benetton duffel bag for my personal pillows and sound system. Knowing that the resort was fully booked, I got the hillside up cabin, equipped with bay windows overlooking the Spa-hotel and the beachfront. Thank God! The disco sounds were shaking the coconuts and the delighted yells and squeals of beach babes and bums didn’t stop till way past midnight. But, hey, we went to this Punta Bulata Resort’s bash precisely for lots of action and fun…

Sports were the main events with skim boarders from Punta-Taytay in Bacolod, wake boarders being dragged out to sea by hi-tech jet skis, beach volleyball, football, limbo jigs and beach tag. There was shopping in the boutique of patrician beauty Antoinette Lacson. There was also lots of fun at the Coca Cola booth with me posing as an angel while babes and hunks took turns with their karaoke “Singing Idol”. Drawing in the crowd were the bikini fashion show and the belly dancing led by German-Filipina beauty Bella Lizares Jaeger and exotic Tanya Lopingco. Hip hop dancing was performed by the USLS Dance Troupe and the Patikeros of Leandro Zayco carried on the dance beat way into the rain-drenched nights that never dampened a soul. Of course, everyone went home with a tan. It was so much FUN!!

WEEKEND CULTURE

“Annie & Other Dances” mark the end of the Summer Workshop students of the Garcia-Sanchez School of Dance. Choreography is by Gianne Sanchez featuring 10-year-old Ashley Velez Ongsuco as Annie. Venue is the Agape House in Carmelite Monastery, Bacolod City, 6 p.m., Saturday, May 17.

MY PRAYER

Never can we have enough confidence in the good God.  He is too mighty, too merciful.*
