Red Bull, Coke
eye semis seat

Red Bull and Coca-Cola gun for their seventh win today and an outright semifinals seat in the PBA Fiesta Cup, as the Barako battles Welcoat in the 4:40 p.m. game and the Tigers against Alaska Aces in the 7:20 p.m. game at the Araneta Coliseum.

Both the Barakos and the Tigers hold a 7-2 win-loss card in the standings.

The Barakos earlier prevailed over Sta. Lucia Realty, 105-78, after a heartbreaking out-of-town loss to Magnolia two weeks ago. Magnolia however, lost to the Tigers, 106-92, in their May 9 encounter at the Dome.

With a 3-5 win-loss record, Welcoat maybe lowly compared to Red Bull, but the Barakos will be treading on dangerous grounds as the  Dragons are also known for its giant-slaying performance after pulling the rug under Talk ‘N Text, 116-108, last Friday.

The win secured Welcoat’s third win and polished its image after suffering eight losses.

Meanwhile, the Alaska Aces are expected to come out in full force with the hope of ending their four-game losing streak that put them behind Welcoat with 2-6 slate.*NAB
