| Robinsons Place Bacolod will hold a Back-to-School Sale May 16 to 18, a press release from the management said.
For a single or accumulated receipt purchase worth at least P1,500, customers are entitled to spin for only P10 and win chocolates, cookies, or cheeseballs, in the P10 Great Spin Promo during sale dates.
Store hours will be extended until midnight on May 16 with big prizes to be given away. Shoppers will get the chance to win imported groceries from 6 to 7 p.m., school supplies at 8 to 9 p.m., air beds at 10 p.m., and gift certificates at 11 p.m., on a raffle, the press release said.
The mall will also hold one-stop great bargains of back-to-school items at the fountain area on May 16, from 10 a.m. to midnight.
Also set are live band performances by Grupo Mari Teves and Norman Garbanzos on May 16 starting at 3 p.m.; Made for Moms Fashion Show on May 17 at 4 p.m.; and Go, Diego, Go! Meet and Greet Activity on May 18 at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m., the press release said.

IT training for
teachers Nconducted
The Smart Communications Inc. is training 20 teachers from seven partner schools on the Application Developers' Intro School, an Information Technology elective, a SMART press release said.
This is the fourth batch of teachers to undergo the trainors’ training. With ADIS, the company seeks to advance IT education in the country and contribute to the employability of students by bridging the gap between their skills set and the requirements of companies looking to hire them.
Supporting the program are SMART officials Paolo Villaflores, IT specialist Ronald Ramos, and Dean of the School of Management and Information Technology Benhur Ong, among others, the press release said.
Participants underwent a two-week training session to familiarize them with the technologies and course materials.
They were from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines and De La Salle-College of St. Benilde in Manila; Cebu Institute of Technology and the University of San Carlos in Cebu City; Holy Name University in Tagbilaran City, Bohol; Silliman University in Dumaguete City; Ateneo de Zamboanga University and Xavier University-Ateneo de Cagayan in Cagayan de Oro City, the press release added.*

Blood-letting held
in La Carlota City
A blood-letting activity was recently conducted in La Carlota City, Negros Occidental, sponsored by Barangay II Poblacion, with the City Health Office, Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital and the Provincial Health Office Blood Bank, a La Carlota press release said.
The activity called “Dugo Mo Kabuhi Ko,” was participated in by 60 qualified donors out of 100 volunteers who donated their blood after passing the medical screening. Donors come from the different barangays of the city, namely, Ayungon, Nagasi, Yubo, Balabag, La Granja and the host barangay, the press release said.
Among those present during the activity are CHO Chief Erwina Frances, Councilor Jeffrey Rumbines, chairman of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Committee on Health, and barangay official Erlinda Domingo.
Last year, the city qualified for the National Sandugo Award for Local Government Executives, the press release added.*

Pastors’ conference set
A Revival and Pastor’s Conference with Rev. Richard Mirpuri as speaker will be held 16, 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, at the Bacolod Christian and Missionary Alliance Church-Negpas District, 86-D San Juan Street in Bacolod City, a press release from organizers said.
