PNRC assembly todayS
The Philippine National Red Cross Negros Occidental-Bacolod City Chapter will hold its assembly and election of the new board of directors today, at The Bacolod Executive Inn, a PNRC press release said.
The theme of the assembly is “Rising Up Amidst All Challenges.”
There were 13 nominees for the 10 posts as of yesterday, the press release said.
Members of the board of directors will be elected by 70 accredited delegates to the assembly, the press release said.
This year, PNRC will implement a computerized election as part of its project supported by Chairman for CONE Dir. Edgar Sy, the press release said.
Keynote speaker will be Ramon Locsin, member, Board of Governors, the press release added.*

PRC, PAFTE set to conduct
registration for teachers’ exam
The Professional Regulation Commission and the Philippine Association for Teacher Education-Western Visayas will hold the registration for the September 2008 Licensure Examinations for Teachers, at the University of St. La Salle in Bacolod City from May 20 to 23, a USLS press release said.
Applicants should submit the following: original and photocopy of birth certificate issued by the National Statistics Office in security paper; original and photocopy of the Transcript of Records with scanned pictures and bearing the exact date or graduation; special order number and the remarks “For Board Examination Purposes Only”.
Graduates of Non-Education Courses should bring their Transcript of Records reflecting the 18 units of credit in Professional Education subjects; original and photocopy of College Diploma, if exact date of graduation is not indicated in the Transcript of Records; and CHED recognition or permit to operate for graduates of new schools/programs, the press release said.
Married female applicants should submit original and photocopy of Marriage Certificate issued by the NSO in security paper.
Other requirements include three identical copies of passport size pictures, colored with plain white background and complete name tag taken by PRC official photographer (at the Coliseum); metered documentary stamp for the Application form at P25; two pieces window envelope with metered postage stamps (for the mailing of the Notice of Room Assignment and Report of Rating) at P25 each.
Applicants should pay Examination Fees of P900; and present original and photocopy of current Community Tax Certificate.
