Fight mars Barako win

Red Bull convincingly won against Sta. Lucia Realty last night, 105-78, but the victory was marred by a fight between imports Adam Parada of the Barakos and Wesley Wilson of the Realtors with less than four minutes left in the ballgame in the SMART-PBA Fiesta Conference at the Araneta Coliseum. Both imports were ejected.

Cyrus Baguio steered the Barakos to its sixth win to top the standings with 6 wins and 2 losses while Sta. Lucia slipped to fourth spot with its 4-3 win-loss card behind Coca-Cola and Talk N Text 5-2 output.

Baguio was hot in the second quarter, scoring 10 of his 16 points as Red Bull pulled away from pursuing Sta. Lucia, outscoring the latter, 24-11.

Parada delivered the goods for Barako’s offense, posting 17 points and 14 rebounds but the shoving scene against Wilson casted a shadow in his double-double performance.

Also getting his share of the spotlight last night was NCAA Most Valuable Player Leomar Najorda who made 19 points to lead Red Bull’s scoring machine.*NAB
