The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office got two more brand new Toyota Hi-Lux patrol vehicles Tuesday from Camp Crame, in addition to the four patrol cars it acquired two weeks ago.

Franco said he expects more patrol vehicles from Camp Crame next month, to be distributed to other municipal police stations in the province.
Razon has assured Franco and the local chief executives of Negros Occidental that they will be given priority in the distribution of patrol vehicles.

Drug courier to
pinpoint shabu users
A suspected drug courier, arrested by the police in a routine visibility patrol in Bacolod City yesterday, said he is willing to pinpoint drug peddlers and users in the city.
Trisikad driver Tyron Bico, 33, of Purok Sampaguita, Brgy. Singcang-Airport, Bacolod, said he will pinpoint sellers of shabu and marijuana after he was nabbed by Police Station 2 members led by Senior Inspector Luisito Acebuche, in Purok Sigay, Brgy. 2, Bacolod, at about 1:35 p.m. yesterday.
A transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu was recovered from Bico, police records showed.
Acebuche said he, PO2 Ronelo Molato and PO1 Orlando Caporal, were on foot patrol along the alleys of Purok Sigay when they chanced upon Bico and found the sachet when they frisked him.
Bico said he bought the substance for an alias “Rex” for a commission of P20 to P30.
He added that he has been acting as a courier for drug users and peddlers in Purok Sigay for “bugas-bugas (money to buy rice)” for his wife and two children.
Bico said he knows a number of illegal drugs dealers in Purok Sigay and he is willing to help the police arrest them.
Acebuche, meanwhile, said that although Bico will help them, the only incentive he could get would be a reduction of his sentence if he pleads guilty in court later.
They will file the charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 against Bico if the contents of the sachet are proven to be shabu by the Philippine National Police Crime Laboratory, he added.*PP
