More equipment acquired
BY JUANCHO GALLARDE

The Dumaguete City government is acquiring additional heavy equipment for use in its infrastructure development works.

A P1.59 million second hand grader from Big Foot was acquired last month, General Services Office records show.

A reconditioned surplus payloader worth P2.5 million is also expected to arrive.

Technicians and mechanics of the City Engineers Office are also working double time to fasttrack the repair of a damaged bulldozer which is assigned at the garbage dumpsite in Candau-ay.

The major part replacement cost the city nearly P500,000.

Environment and Natural Resources Officer Rolly Clamonte said the city is spending P3,200 per hour for a rented bulldozer from a private contractor in Dumaguete, and engineer Boy Flores of the CEO said another payloader also needs repair.*JG
