Do business early, BIR urges
BY JUANCHO GALLARDE

The Bureau of Internal Revenue in Dumaguete City is experiencing some problems in upgrading its data base because of loaded transactions daily for old and new applicants.

Joe Senador of the Dumaguete BIR, however, said this is temporary since the roll-out program for the computerization program was implemented only in January this year.

He enjoined the taxpaying public to transact with the BIR in the morning because computer encoding sometimes hangs, especially in the afternoon.

At present, the local BIR office is busy with the processing of business registration, application for tax information number or TIN and transfer of properties.

The encoded data base will go to the regional center before it is transmitted to the national data base.

As soon as the data base is completed, taxpayers can be assured of swift service at the BIR, Senador said.*JG
