A launching and a birthday

BUDDAI

Sunday was the 42nd World Communication Day and media practitioners joined a concelebrated mass officiated by Bishop Vicente Navarra.

The weekly newspaper, ADSUM, which means, “Here I Am”, that will carry news from the parishes was also launched.

Rev. Fr. Brethren Rye Gamala is the editor-in-chief of ADSUM, assisted by clergymen and the lay faithful. A maiden issued came out yesterday.  My congratulations to the staff of ADSUM.

Meanwhile, Rev. Fr. Jude Serfino officiated and celebrated his 40th birthday with a Thanksgiving Mass April 13, Good Shepherd Sunday.

He is the newly appointed Procurator of the Sacred Heart Seminary and the present director of commission on vocation of the Diocese of Bacolod. He was formerly a PCI banker for five years until he realized his calling.

This was followed by a dinner and a program at the Sacred Heart Seminary “Yap Hall”. Guests were in colorful red outfits, except for those who were not informed. Present were members of the BLD, Legion of Mary, Apostolate of Divine Mercy, members of the clergy and seminary formators headed by Rev. Fr. Gerry Alminazan and many many more.

Each organization or association contributed a dance or song number to entertain guests and some members of the clergy prepared their own musical number, and the celebrant was forced to show his tipchetorean ability that anybody enjoyed.

Rev. Fr. Jude Serfino thanked everybody specially those who worked hard for the success of the affair. May Fr. Jude have more birthdays to celebrate and God bless you.*

Remember:  Friendship is a priceless gift, that can’t be bought or sold.  To have an understanding friend is worth far more than God.*
