Five bidders for the 0.8-megawatt Amlan Hydroelectric Power Plant in Oriental Negros will proceed to the pre-bid stage tomorrow after complying with the initial requirements set by the Power Sector Assets and Liabilities Management Corp.
Prospective bidders can clarify issues and concerns on the bidding procedures during the pre-bid conference. The bidding is set on June 25.
The next stages of the bidding exercise will include conducting due diligence on the power facility.

agri-tourism destinations
The Negros Occidental Provincial Government has recognized seven farms and non-government organizations in the province as agri-tourism destinations.
Named were Shenandoah Farms in Bacolod City of Dr. Evangeline Aboyo; DC Cruz Aquaculture Corp. in Bago City of Philip Cruz; Mirasol Development Corp. in Victorias City and Manapla of Ramon Peñalosa; Buro-buro Springs Vermicomposting Farm in Talisay City of Jose and Pamela Henares;
Alternative Indigenous Development Foundation Inc. in Bacolod City managed by Aladino Moraca; Fresh Start Organics in Silay City of Ramon Jr. and Francine Uy; and the Integrated Correctional and Agricultural Technology Center in Bago City run by the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist.

agencies in Iloilo set
Stakeholders of the small and medium entrepreneurs sector in Iloilo will hold a Strategic Planning Workshop tomorrow at the Grand Hotel in Iloilo City.
The planning workshop is being organized by the Iloilo Small and Medium Enterprises Development Foundation Inc. in cooperation with the German Technical Cooperation and the Department of Trade and Industry.
The workshop aims to enable the Provincial SMED Council to prepare its strategy in achieving its goals and objectives and to plan, implement and monitor its Annual Work. The activity involves the revisiting of the mission and vision statement of the Iloilo SMED Foundation and identifying of activities for 2008 with collaborating agencies.
