2 RTC salas under audit
BY JUANCHO GALLARDE

The Office of the Court Administrator of the Supreme Court has sent its representatives to Negros Oriental to conduct a judicial audit on two Regional Trial Court salas.

The judicial audit team headed by Fe Aguila is checking the records of RTC Branch 31, formerly the family court under presiding Judge Rogelio Carampatan, and the drugs court of RTC Branch 30 under presiding Judge Crescencio Tan Jr.

The judicial audit and physical inventory of cases is conducted when a presiding judge is about to retire or to be transferred, as in the case of Carampatan and Tan, for judicial clearance.

Tan will soon be based in Cebu as  regional court administrator.

Meanwhile, Dumaguete City is not yet ready for the establishment of high rise buildings, Mayor Agustin Perdices said.

Perdices said a number of businessmen made inquiries with the zoning division for the construction of a 16-story building.

He said high rise buildings also need big spaces for parking for their customers. With the narrow streets of Dumaguete, the mayor said he feels it is not yet ready for these type of buildings.

The tallest building now in Dumaguete is the Bandera building at Cervantes Street.*JG
