A shell DC-9 aircraft was donated to the Aviation Security Group of the Philippine National Police by the Gokongwei-owned airline Cebu Pacific to help in the police anti-terrorist and other drills involving airport situations.

The airline company ceased to use its DC-9 aircraft when it completed its refleeting program in 2007 with a fleet of brand new Airbus aircraft.

Candice Iyog, vice president for marketing and product, said that instead of just discarding the mock-up DC-9, they donated it where it can be used to improve airport safety.*RG
