Graduation rites set at NORSU

The Negros Oriental State University will hold its 50th Commencement Exercises on Saturday, 3 p.m. at the NORSU Main Campus 2 in Bajumpandan, Dumaguete City.

A total of 1,328 students from NORSU’s nine colleges and graduate school are graduating this year.

Guest of honor and commencement speaker will be Presidential Assistant I for Education and Undersecretary for Educational Affairs Dr. Mona Valisno.

Valisno is also a member of the Board of Advisers of the Commission on Higher Education and acting member of the Committee on Social and Human Sciences of UNESCO Philippines.

Meanwhile, NORSU will hold its Baccalaureate Mass for this year’s batch of graduating students Saturday morning at the NOSU Cultural Complex.

Baccalaureate speaker and main celebrant will be Bishop John Du. The Mass will be concelebrated by the University Chaplain, Rev. Fr. Clyde Flores.*RG
