Cockfights dangle P2 million
 

The four-day P2 Million guaranteed prize “Monju and Vic” 7-Cock Derby unfolds today at the Cong. Romeo G. Guanzon Multi-Purpose Coliseum in Barangay Mansilingan, Bacolod City.

The event is considered one of the biggest cockfighting extravaganza in Negros Occidental, this year, with cockers and battlebird raisers from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao fielding entries.

Action starts at 1 p.m., with 60 entries seeing action in the 3-cock curtain raiser.

Elimination phase continues tomorrow and Friday, while the championship rounds are scheduled on Sunday.

Undefeated entries or those who score three straight wins in the elimination series will share the P50,000 day money offers for the day. Registration fee is pegged at P16,000.*HLG
