Talisay honors reg’l winners
 

The Talisay City government honored its secondary baseball and elementary girls’ volleyball team for winning the titles in the Western Visayas Regional Athletic Association Meet in San Jose, Antique recently.

The baseball team was led by Coach Randy Britania and trainers Leo Oñasa, Jeffrey Jobero, Primo Milavo and Luny Oñasa and team captain Martin Egina.

Coach Corazon Garovillo together with trainer Globert Layan and skipper Marian Mae Apuhin spearheaded the girls’ volleyball team.

The teams were honored by Talisay City Mayor Eric Saratan and Ninfa Treyes, Co-Chairman of the Local School Board of Talisay City during the flag-raising rites at the City Hall recently.

The athletes will see action in the Palarong Pambansa in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan from April 20-27.*
