7 minors rescued in Cadiz
BY GILBERT BAYORAN

Seven minors working as waitresses and reportedly engaging in prostitution at the old public market of Cadiz City, were rescued by the police on Good Friday.

Police investigations show that the rescued minors worked at four videokee bars, earned a commission of P2 per bottle of beer ordered by their customers, and P500 for their “personal services”.

The Cadiz police raiding team led by Chief Inspector Jefferson Descallar also arrested the owners of the four videokee bars, for violation of Republic Act 7610, or the Anti-Child Abuse Act.

The minors who are now in the custody of the Social Welfare and Development Office in Cadiz City, are residents of Sagay and Bacolod cities.

The four arrested suspects are now locked up in jail.*GPB
