Bacolod-born chef Margarita Fores was awarded the Globe Masigasig Award for being an entrepreneur that best exemplifies the "masigasig" attributes, a press release from Globe said.

Fores, the Woman Entrepreneur Awardee in the recent Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, was recognized for her determination, persistence and strong sense of direction in terms of goals to be achieved.

Globe said its company honors these values as well as Fores' resiliency in the face of challenge, business creativity, and contribution to nation building by generating jobs for Filipinos.

Fores received a plaque of recognition, a Globe Mobility Bundle, which includes a wireless Internet connection via Globe Visibility free for 12 months, and an HP laptop, the press release said.

She will also be featured in Globe Business' exclusive publication designed for small to medium businesses, Masigasig Magazine.

Globe also sponsored the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards which gave out six awards to entrepreneurs from different business segments, including the Small Business Entrepreneur Award; Woman Entrepreneur Award; Realty and Construction Entrepreneur Award; Innovation Entrepreneur Award; Social Entrepreneur Award; and Master Entrepreneur Award. The winner of the Entrepreneur of the Year Award was chosen from the six category winners, the press release added.*
