Two killed in stabbing
BY RENE GENOVE

Two men were stabbed dead following a drinking spree at a public market in Brgy. Balugo-Valencia Road, Valencia, Negros Oriental, about 10:55 p.m. Saturday, police said yesterday.

They were identified as Amado Ramacho, 52, married, and Buenaventura Dales, 60, single, both of Brgy. East Balabag, in Valencia.

Investigation revealed that Ramacho and Dales, who were already under the influence of  liquor were on their way home on board a pedicab driven by Dales, when the stabbing took place.

A heated argument ensued between the drinking partners, prompting Dales to get a bladed weapon and stab Ramacho in the abdomen, police said.

Dales tried to also stab Ramacho’s younger brother, Dionardo, 41, who saw the incident, but Dionardo was able to also kill him. The police added.

The elder Ramacho was brought to the Holy Child Hospital and Dales was taken to the Negros Oriental Provincial Hospital, but they were pronounced dead on arrival.

The younger Ramacho voluntarily surrendered to responding policemen and is now detained at the Valencia PNP station.*RG
