A man was stabbed several times at a videoke bar in Barangay Bagacay, Dumaguete City, about 7:30 p.m. Saturday, the police said yesterday.

The victim was identified as Junrey Cecop, 20, single, of Brgy. Bagacay and the suspect as Natan Canete, of legal age, married, of the same place.

Initial police investigation disclosed that Cecop was singing when the suspect accidentally put off the videoke machine, causing the victim to get angry.

A commotion ensued and the suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim.

Responding policemen brought the victim to the Negros Oriental Provincial Hospital where he is now being treated. The suspect voluntarily surrendered to the police.*RG
